Terms & Conditions

These terms govern access to and use of Midland County Released Inmates. By using the site, you accept them. If you do not agree, do not continue to use the site or its search tools.

This privately owned site is not affiliated with Midland County, a sheriff, jail, court, MDOC, or any government body. Neither this site nor its advertising partners provides an FCRA-covered service for credit, employment, insurance, or tenant screening. The site organizes inmate and jail-record resources; it is not a private investigation firm or a consumer reporting agency.

Nature of the Service

Midland County Released Inmates is a private reference site with no government authority. It stores no official jail, release, corrections, or court records. It cannot confirm custody, change a release date, release a person, submit bond, or file a government request on someone’s behalf.

The pages point toward official Midland County and Michigan resources and may connect visitors with outside research tools. Government offices and third-party providers remain responsible for their own content and services.

Acceptable Use Rules

Use must remain lawful and must not interfere with the site, its visitors, or any person named in a record.

  • Do not attempt access to accounts, data, or systems without authorization.
  • Do not operate bots, scrapers, or other automated collection tools.
  • Do not disrupt availability or another visitor’s use.

No Consumer Reports

This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It provides no background checks, credit reports, consumer reports, or screening service. Its advertising and search partners are not presented as offering such a service through this site. You agree not to use site or linked-tool information for an FCRA-covered decision.

  • Evaluating a tenant, lease applicant, or housing request.

Outside Websites and Services

Links may lead to sheriff and corrections pages, release records, government portals, legal-aid resources, or independent search services. A link is not an endorsement. This site does not control an outside provider’s content, privacy practices, prices, results, or uptime. Review that provider’s own terms before using it.

Service Provided As Is

The site and its content are supplied “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made concerning:

  • The accuracy, completeness, or current state of any detail.
  • Continuous or uninterrupted availability.
  • The absence of errors, defects, or security weaknesses.
  • The completeness of a partner’s search results.

Custody status and public records can change without warning. Nothing published here is an official statement from Midland County, a sheriff, a court, MDOC, or another government agency.

Limits of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site and its operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or other damages arising from access, inability to access, reliance on content, or use of an outside service.

Your Duty to Indemnify

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the site and its operators harmless from claims, losses, expenses, and reasonable legal fees resulting from your use, misuse, violation of these terms, or infringement of another person’s rights.

Ownership of Site Materials

Site text, graphics, logos, design elements, and code belong to Midland County Released Inmates or the applicable content partner. They may not be copied, republished, distributed, sold, or modified without prior written permission, except where law permits.

Revisions to These Terms

These terms may be changed at any time. A revised version becomes effective when posted on this page. Continued use after posting means acceptance of the updated terms.

Suspension of Access

Access may be limited, suspended, or blocked at any time, for any lawful reason, and without advance notice. This includes misuse, technical risk, or conduct that interferes with the service or other users.

Michigan Governing Law

Michigan law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Michigan.

Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected provision will be narrowed or adjusted only as much as needed to make it lawful.
